I was born in New York City to an Italian mother and an American father, and when I was six, my life took a big turn—we moved to Italy. I grew up in the Tuscan countryside near Florence, where I went to school in a small town steeped in a long tradition of ceramics. That history became part of my own story when I began training in Montelupo, learning directly from master ceramists and discovering the beauty of maiolica clay painting.Years later, I returned to New York City to study at the School of Visual Arts, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and deepened my creative practice. In 2012, I moved to Ukiah, California, to be closer to family and to continue exploring my work as an artist. My journey has always been about connecting the old and the new—bringing together the traditions I grew up with and the contemporary influences that continue to shape me.
