Amy Stocker

Amy Stocker grew up in beautiful Mendocino County and at a young age fell in love with dancing. Throughout her childhood and adolescence, Amy enjoyed a variety of dance classes in her mother’s dance studio. Later, she taught creative movement to young children in the very same studio. Teaching has always been a passion for Amy as well as understanding the development of young children. Amy has had the honor of working with young children for over 20 years. In college, Amy pursued her love of teaching and dancing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a teaching credential from California State University, Chico. Amy also completed her Waldorf teacher training at the Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, Ca. in 2009. Amy currently teaches kindergarten at the Waldorf School of Mendocino County where she continues to deepen her work with children and movement. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm for dance and imagination to the young dancers at SPACE.
